The Outreach Committee at Islamic Foundation North (IFN) is dedicated to facilitating the understanding of Islam and Muslims to the general public. The committee's outreach efforts are focused on our Lake County community. IFN's outreach efforts are being achieved through
1. Providing education on Islam and Muslims,
2. Collaborating with our neighbors on initiatives that support social justice within our society at large.
3. Providing support for new Muslims within our community in order to address their needs.
IFN's outreach efforts are being achieved in several ways.
First, we are providing education on Islam and Muslims to various organizations and groups throughout Lake County. This is being done primarily through formal Islam 101 presentations at various institutions, as well as at our Islamic center. We are also holding discussion and/or Q&A sessions on topics of interest.

Second, we are collaborating with our neighbors on initiatives that support social justice within our society at large. So in addition to education, we are identifying opportunities of mutual interest where we can work together and give back to our community as responsible Americans. Third, we are providing support for new Muslims within our community in order to address their needs. This is being accomplished through regular classes and the availability of a support hotline to address any issues that arise.
If you are interested in learning more about Islam/Muslims, taking a tour of our center, collaborating on certain issues that matter to you or are a new Muslim seeking help, please let us know. You can feel free to reach us at the e-mail address or phone number listed below. In addition, please feel free to refer to the booklets and links provided below, in order to get more information on Islamic issues of interest to you. Thank you and we look forward to being of service.
