Who should we contact if someone passes away in the family?
If you are part of the IFN community the first person to contact is the IFN Funeral Committee Lead.

What does the IFN Funeral Committee do?
- Work with the Muslim Funeral Services Director to arrange for funeral services such as body transportation from home/hospital/hospice to funeral home for Gusul; to IFN for Janaza Salah; and finally to Cemetery for Burial.
- Work with the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery to assign the burial plot and arrange for the burial services
- Provide support and assistance to the family of the deceased depending upon the need
- Inform the community about the deceased and the funeral arrangement
- Help arrange post funeral needs (Open House, Quran Reading Sessions)
- Organize Funeral workshops to educate and train volunteers in the community
- Long-term capacity planning of Burial Plots
How many Burial Plots does IFN have?
We have 240 Burial Plots at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. We highly encourage everyone to buy the Burial plot in advance.
