The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur’ān.
Our mission at the IFN Quran Academy is to elevate the children and the families of the IFN community in Islamic values, integrate the Guidance of the Quran into their lives and establish a long-lasting connection and relationship between them and the book of Allah SWT through various programs that cater to all ages.
We encourage every single member of the IFN community to invest in their children by signing them up for one of our programs. If you are facing any challenges please reach out to Muhammad Adisa to see how you are able to overcome anything that may be holding you back from them being registered. Simply Learning the Quran qualifies an individual to become of the best of people according to the words of the world’s most truthful human being, our beloved messenger of Allah SWT Muhammad SAW. There is no singular greater honor we can achieve than the stamp of approval from our beloved Messenger SAW. Please do not hesitate in joining us to embark on your Quran journey.
The objectives for every students are as follows: Proper pronunciation of the letters (Makharij ul Huroof), Accurate recognition of the vowels (Harakaat), Beginner rules of tajweed (madd, stopping, rules on noon saakin etc), high level fluency in reading, reading quran in completion, proper memorization, Learning and implementing Islamic etiquettes, growing in faith and action
Quran Academy History
By the immense fadl(virtue) of Allah SWT the IFN Quran Academy has been in operation since 2004. By the grace of Allah SWT we have graduated about 40 huffath(memorizers of the Quran). Alhamdulillah(All praise and thanks are due to Allah SWT) in the past four years alone the Quran Academy has been blessed to serve nearly 200 students.
The Quran Academy at Islamic Foundation North was established in the summer of 2004 with the support of Brother Hassan Niaz and Brother Waseem Khan as initial pioneers and volunteers . We hired Hafiz Qari Syed Ahmed Ali as our first teacher and began with 12 children from the community.
In 2007, the program expanded into a full-time Hifth Academy along with an evening Quran recitation program. At that time, 10 children from the community studied under the guidance of Qari Syed Ahmed Ali and Muhammad Hussain Shehzgir (may Allah SWT have mercy on him) and went on to complete the first batch of Huffath(anyone who has completed full memorization of the Quran).
Since then, more than 40 students have completed their Hifth through the Quran Academy, and countless boys and girls from the Islamic Foundation North school have benefited from the after-school Quran programs.
Programs
The IFN Quran Academy focuses on four main comprehensive programs throughout the year and one summer program. The goal is to provide a platform to learn how to read, memorize, implement, and form a strong relationship with the Quran. Enrollment is open Year round, please join anytime. Also, classes are flexible to student’s extracurricular activities. Please do not let their other programs withhold them from attending Quran Academy programs during any available free moments.
Besides the Full-time Hifz program, which is currently offered to only boys who are 8 years or older, all
other programs are offered to anyone above the age of 5.
Full-Time Hifth(memorization) program
The most advanced level of memorization for those who aspire to complete the full memorization of Allah SWT's book. Beginning in the 2026-27 School year the IFN Quran Academy will be offering secular studies for grades 3-12. This will allow students to complete their memorization and not miss any of their public school education. The best of both worlds. These classes take place Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM.
Part Time Hifth(memorization) program
Beginner-level memorization. It is an introduction to memorizing the Quran as well as a time of revision for those who are not memorizing anymore. It is highly encouraged that once our students learn to read, they memorize the last two Ajza or Para(parts) of the Quran. These classes take place from Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM and students should come for at least two hours that is convenient for them.
Nathira(reading)
program
Focuses on learning how to read the Quran at any level and for any age. The main goal is to improve students’ reading of the Quran. These classes take place Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM and students should come for at least one hour that is convenient for them.
Quran for Reverts
All Muslim brothers who have reverted to Islam are encouraged to reach out to Muhammad Adisa to schedule their one on one classes that will help them learn Surah Al-Fatiha and small Surahs(chapters) of the Quran as well as learn how to read the Quran in Arabic. Flexible class timings are available in order to accommodate all schedules.
IFN Summer program
8-week long program of learning Islamic Studies, Quran, Seerah, and fun. Please extract from the best time of the year to catch up on Islamic learning for our children and sign them up for this program so they can catch up on their Islamic Learning. These classes take place Monday through Thursday from 10 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. 2026 dates are June 8th to July 31st.
