Director: Br. Muhammad Adisa
He completed his Hifz from the institute of Islamic education in Elgin, Illinois during the summer of 2012. Immediately upon returning home, he began to accumulate his 14 years of experience teaching the holy book of Allah SWT in northwest Indiana and Islamic Foundation North. He continued his journey at the Darussalam Seminary to study the Islamic Sciences of Arabic, Fiqh, Seerah and more. While pursuing these avenues of Islamic knowledge, he was also leading the Taraweeh prayers for communities across the country. He has completed his Ijazah in Hafs and is currently completing his bachelors in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Teacher: Sr. Somaia M. Hammoud
has been teaching girls part-time Hifz at IFN since 2017. She was also a Sunday School Quranic Studies teacher from 2004 to 2014. She has a BA in Islamic Sciences from Al Azhar University (2018). She also holds an Ijazah in Authentic Quran Recitation (2015). She graduated from Ain Shams University with a BA in Literature & Eastern Languages (Cairo 1979).
Teacher: Zeinab Moustafa
I have been teaching in the girls’s Nazirah program for 10 years, reading with girls as young as age 4, through 19 years old Regarding my own background, I began memorizing the Quran in the United Arab Emirates under the teaching of a Hafiza . After that, I spent many years consistently progressing the memorization of Quran while moving to the United States until I earned my Ijaza Alhamdulillah. I earned my Hifz Ijaza using the Hafs An Asem recitation, under the guidance of a Hafiza who has her Ijaza in the 10 Authentic Qira’at/methods of recitations of the Quran from Al Azhar University in Egypt. I also serve as the current Dean of Quran/Arabic studies at the IFN Sunday school, where I have taught for more than 12 years. I have a true passion for teaching young students the beauty of the Quran! Regarding technique, when teaching young students I focus on tajweed rules and the source of pronunciation for the words and letters to ensure foundational and progressive learning.
