The primary role of the Membership is to continuously encourage the community to enroll and renew their membership with IFN. Membership enrollment serves multiple purposes. Members are added to the IFN listserv which allows them to be up to date with all of the activities throughout IFN.
Consequently, this also provides the benefit of discounts on various IFN activities. From an operations and maintenance standpoint, the membership renewal and enrollment also provides for a large percentage of the revenue on an annual basis.
The Membership Committee is always looking for new ideas to renew and encourage others to enroll with a number of various membership drives (3-4 per year), reminders (emails, announcements, LCD flyers, and snail mail), and also update existing membership records.
Lastly, during any election, the Membership Committee will work very closely with the Election Committee to insure there are no violations in the Election process, and the vote count remains accurate.

When does the membership start and end?
You can become a member or renew your membership at any time during a calendar year. However, the membership goes by the Calendar year (and not by when you pay your membership fees). Therefore the membership starts January 1st and ends on December 31st of the year.
When can I become a member?
You can become a member anytime of the year (Jan-Dec). It is recommended that you become member as early as possible in the year, preferably before March 31st.
Does my donations to the IFN count towards my membership fees?
No, the donation does not count towards the membership fees. If you want all or part of your donations applied towards your membership fees please submit a completed membership form along with your donation.
How are the funds received as membership fees used?
Funds received as membership fees are used directly towards operating expense of the Masjid thereby helping to maintain the house of Allah(swt). This is the biggest benefit of becoming a member.

How many people in family membership can participate in an election?
Family membership allows only two people (member and spouse) to vote, nominate or get nominated for any open position in Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.
I am member of IFN since past so many years, why is my name not on the Voter's List?
As per ByLaws one of the key requirements to be eligible to vote is to renew your membership before March 31st of the election year. So you must be a member in the previous year and renew your membership before March 31st in the election year.
