IFN MENTORING/TUTORING

The IFN Mentoring/Tutoring program kicked off in 2014 with the aim of the program to help students from the community through IFN to achieve their academic goals through tutoring and mentorship which will allow them to excel in and outside of the classroom. With a focus on the student's school and career path, this program provides flexibility in their schedule, requires parent's involvement, and can provide ongoing training (i.e. financial aid applications, college visits, etc.).  

 In 2015, the program's goals include informing the community, recruiting mentors/tutors and students for the program, finalizing policies/procedures to support the program and identify a management system to ensure clear roles. All members are encouraged to join this program and are encouraged to provide input as this program grows.

FREE SAT DIAGNOSTIC TEST

Date: Sunday, January 21, 2018
Time: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Sylvan Center is offering a Free SAT diagnostic Test this coming Sunday through IFN. This test is free for anyone who wants to see their base Score. No registration is required for this test. Sylvan can also offer ACT diagnostic test if you are interested. Contact Sr. Oghay Kherzai at okherzai@hotmail.com if you are interested in taking the test

DISCOUNTED SAT PREPARATION COURSE

The SAT program by Sylvan Center is starting soon. If you are interested, please attend an informative session by Center Director, Sharon McCarthy regarding the SAT classes for high school students

Date: Tuesdays & Thursdays starting January 23, 2018
Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The classes are offered at a significantly reduced price. Please let Sr. Oghary Kherzai know if you are interested to register. Registration can be done next week when you are coming for diagnostic test.
